When I went to my tethered tablet and copied the folder with (the DRM protected) e-books on my SD card, then went to LumiRead, then settings, then to "manage my book folders" and added that folder to the folders that LumiRead looks at, ALL the books were there and readable.

Note: Adobe ADE still doesn't show my tablet as connected, and I can't download from Adobe directly, but (being an "old fart") I always save my books first to a folder on my computer before opening them to ADE. When I went to my tablet and signed in, this time my authorization was accepted. When I tethered my tablet and computer together and had both open to the time I reset my tablets time (the tablet doesn't set to the second, so I waited until the computers second hand got to the exact minute and clicked on the tablets clock - I don't know if you need to get that exact, but.). When I went a little deeper, I found that my tablet didn't have the "TIME ZONE" marked correctly (mine was set off of GMT, the default). I saw a comment about a "time-expired" error being caused by the tablet and the computer mot having the same time shown, but my tablet was the exact time as my computer. I couldn't get past the sign-on to Adobe ADE, and always got an error message. Since I'm not the most technically advanced person in the world (I'm an old fart in his 60's), I was panicking about not being able to use this part of my tablets capabilities, and started looking for a cure on the internet (Acer was almost no help). Everyone else had PC's and was able to remediate with the suggestions they were given.I just got an Acer Iconia A500 for Christmas and was going through the same problems as "cantreadit". I hope this helps! I was scouring the internet and you were the only one that had the exact same issue as me. I clicked on the library book and it opened! Reboot it before ever opening up that new library book you just downloaded. If you hold down the power button a menu will appear with the options to power off, reboot, or cancel. Once I disconnected the nook, I rebooted it. Waited for it to transfer, then properly disconnected the nook. Once it recognized it, I download my library's ebook to ADE again and then dragged it over to my nook. I would do a combination of this particular step as I don't quite remember what I exactly did here. I quit the ADE application, reopened, plugged in the nook and it recognized it.

I then registered the nook to the adobe account manually, I did not connect to the mac yet. I redownloaded ADE and registered my adobe account. And since I factory reset the nook, it wasn't registered to the adobe account anymore.

You may need to go into your mac applications and delete from there. Made my own B&N account and used those credentials upon set-up.įully deleted Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) from my computer (the app and installer drive). I figured this might be an issue, so I fully deregistered my device (she has her own) and set it up again as if I had just taken it out of the box (factory reset).

I had been logged into my mother's B&N account because our membership is under her name. Hi! I just had this exact issue this morning and I also have a mac. I’ve also contacted support through both B&N and adobe, and they were unable to help. I have unplugged and replugged in multiple times both before and after opening Adobe, I have deauthorized and reauthorized my computer in Adobe multiple times, I have uninstalled and reinsyalled Adobe, and I have restarted my computer. When I try to go into the nook folder, there is not one that says anything about adobe digital editions (other forum responses have said to delete that from the nook folder and try again, but I cannot do this). I reset my nook and connected it to my adobe account (it was not connected to the adobe account before and I figured that was the problem) and now Adobe Digital Editions is not registering my nook at all.

Last night, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 was able to recognize and authorize my nook, and I dragged and dropped a library book to the nook, where it appeared but I was unable to open it, getting an error message of "loan token update failed". I got the nook in the mail last night and set it up. Hi All, I just got a Nook Glowlight with the sole purpose of reading library books from the Libby app.
